Yilan WangInstruments teach: Piano Keyboard group for kids Trombone
Ms. Yi-Lan Wang is a native of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She was recognized as especially talented at an early age. She received her Master of Music degree from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, where she studied with Mr. James Olin.
Ms. Yi-Lan Wang is the first international female trombone artist of Taiwan. She performs throughout North America, Europe, Asian, and Amsterdam in music halls including Baltimore Meyerhoff Hall, Skirball Center for the Performing Arts of NYU, Vienna The Goldener Saal (Golden Hall), International Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg, Hungaria Szeged National Theater, the National Theatre of Opera in Constanta, Romania, Budapest Vigado Hall, Taiwan National Concert Hall, and Hong Kong Cultural Centre. As a winner of the National Music Competition of Taiwan, Ms. Wang was invited to participate in the Summer Band Festival Cheju'99 in Korea Music Festival.
Ms. Yi-Lan Wang is an active soloist, recitalist, and chamber music performer. In October 2005, she made her solo debut with the Romania Black Sea Symphony Orchestra, world premiered Chien-Nien Chen's Trombone Concertino, the first piece of Trombone Concertino of Taiwan and also commissioned the work for Romania Music Festival "America composer gala". Her most recent appearance with the Shin-Shiang Wind Ensemble as soloist was in world premiere performances of Chien-Nien's Trombone Concerto Wind Ensemble version in June of 2007.
Ms. Wang served as the Assistant Principal Trombonist of Peabody Symphony Orchestra and the Principal Trombone of Youth Band of China Youth Corps. She was also invited as a jury of the Taiwan National Music Competition. Ms. Yi-Lan Wang is an artist of Amillita Entertainment Group currently. In 2008, she became the first trombone artist to appear to Tim Warner Cable., New York Air Television &amp;lt;American News&amp;gt;.
